Who Is Jesus?

And how do you become a Christian?

You and I were created to know God in a real and personal way. We were created to have a relationship with Him, through His Son, Jesus Christ.

How do we begin a relationship with God?

- Realise that you're a sinner

No matter how good we are or try to be, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners. The Bible says, "There is no one who always does what is right, no, not even one!"

Sin has separated us from God and we can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only Jesus Christ has the power to cleanse us from all of our sins and to free us from guilt, shame and condemnation, to give us a life of wholeness.

- Recognise that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you

The Bible says, "For this is how much God loved the world - He gave His one and only Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in Him will never perish but experience everlasting life."

This is Good News, that God sent Jesus, His one and only Son, to die in our place when we least deserved it, so that we could know God and be forgiven.

- Repent of your sin

The Bible tells us, "Repent and turn to God so that your sins will be removed."

The word repent means to change our direction in life. Instead of running away from God, we are now running towards Him and living for Him.

- Recieve Jesus Christ into your life

Becoming a Christian is not about going to church, doing good deeds or being a good person. It is having Jesus Christ Himself take up residence in your life and heart.

Jesus said, "Behold, I'm standing at the door, knocking. If your heart is open to hear my voice and you open the door within, I will come in to you..."

If you've done that, we'd love to hear from you!

Please get in touch and we'd love to help you on your new journey as a follower of Jesus!
